Brazil 2014: NOA donates Nigerian flags for Eagles’ campaign

The flags were donated to facilitate the Super Eagles’ quest to win the FIFA 2014 World Cup

The National Orientation Agency, NOA, on Friday donated flags and other memorabilia to the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to support the nation’s senior national football team in the ongoing World Cup.

The flags were donated to support the Super Eagles and facilitate their quest to win the FIFA 2014 World Cup taking place in Brazil.
The Director General of NOA, Mike Omeri, who made the presentation to the NFF in Abuja, said the donation is to boost the morale of the team and for them to win the coveted trophy.

Mr. Omeri, who urged the NFF to ensure prominent display of the National Flag, said that no effort should be spared in encouraging the Super Eagles to win the tournament.

“The World Cup means much to Nigerians. It is a balm that will further heal the pains of insecurity and foster unity in the country,’’ the NOA boss said.

The Director of Competitions, NFF, Sanusi Muhammed, who received the flags, commended NOA for constantly supporting sports in Nigeria and football in particular.

Mr. Muhammed, who said that the NFF was proud of its collaboration with NOA, described sports as a powerful tool for fighting social vices.

He said the federation would ensure proper use of the flags for maximum impact, and urged Nigerians to provide increased support for the Super Eagles.
