Nigeria will miss Yobo- Garba Lawal

As the Super Eagles starts a new era without Captain Joseph Yobo, former international Garba Lawal says the team will miss the presence of Yobo.

The former Everton and Norwich City defender rallied the country to a last 16 outing at this year’s World cup in Brazil where the team eventually lost to France.

Speaking to 365footballnews.com, Garba added that the country however must move on as every player is bound to retire at some point.

“Nigeria misses everybody; I am not playing football now but people still remember what I did and that is football for you. Whether you like it or not, one day you will have to call it a quit but I think Nigeria will miss Yobo”

Yobo made reached his 100th international cap at the world cup finals and is the only Nigerian player to have gotten to such a height with goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama the second highest after Yobo with 94 caps under his belt.
