We Will Bring Down Nigeria If Boko Haram Attacks Igboland – MASSOB

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), has threatened to retaliate against any bomb blast in any part of the Southeast.

Reacting to the discovery of bombs planted in the Winners’ Church in Owerri, the Imo State capital, MASSOB leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, warned that the Movement would no longer tolerate the mindless killing of Ndigbo in any part of the country, especially in the Southeast.

Uwazuruike in a telephone chat said that MASSOB will not hesitate to fight back with equal and decisive force if terrorists attack any city in the zone.

He said: “the position of MASSOB on this matter is firm, we will bring down Nigeria if any bomb goes off in the Southeast”.

He insisted that the group will no longer tolerate the mindless killing of Ndigbo in any part of Nigeria because we will retaliate with equal force against any attack on any part of Igboland.

WORLD CUP 2014: Belgium vs Algeria 2 1.. Goals Highlights Full Match Preview

Belgium opened its World Cup Group H campaign with a 2-1 comeback win over Algeria on Tuesday, relying on second-half goals from two substitutes.

Marouane Fellaini’s strong glancing header in the 70th minute with his back to goal came from a Kevin De Bruyne cross. Fellaini had only come onto the pitch five minutes earlier and was coach Marc Wilmots’ final substitution.

Ten minutes later, Dries Mertens’ shot beat Algeria’s goalkeeper from close range after Eden Hazard set him up for the decider. Mertens came on at the start of the second half.

Algeria attacking midfielder Sofiane Feghouli converted a penalty to give his country a surprise lead in the 25th.

Mikel Obi Accuses Iran Of Parking the Bus

John Obi Mikel has accused Iran of parking the bus after Nigeria drew 0-0 with the World Cup minnows in their World Cup opener on Monday.

In a dire affair that produced the first goalless draw of the competition, the Super Eagles struggled for any sort of attacking fluency, with their star men anonymous. Mikel, who operated in an unfamiliar No.10 role, in stark contrast to his deep-lying midfield position at Chelsea, was handed the man-of-the-match award for attempting to at least stamp some authority on proceedings.

After the game, the Chelsea man admitted his side had come up short in the final third and said they will need to be sharper in front of goal if they are to reach the knockout stages.
He said:

“We are very disappointed because the opening match is very important. We looked for the win, but Iran knew what we wanted to do and put 11 men behind the ball. They managed to stop us from playing our game. We’ll have to create more chances in our next match and be sharp in front of goal.”

Next up for Nigeria are Bosnia in Cuiaba on Saturday night.
